This initiative has zero tolerance for the emotional scourge known as Depression which is ravaging every strata from cradle to the grave. The World Health Organization predicts that depression will be the second leading cause of mental disability by the year 2020 and the major cause of worker disability by the year 2030. It is also estimated that one in four people will experience a depressive disorder at some point in their lives.

However, the figure does not estimate the impact depression has on families, friends, the community or work life. The World health Organization (WHO) has predicted that depression will be the second leading cause of death worldwide by the year 2020 after even heart related issues and the major cause of death by the year 2030. One in four people will experience a depressive disorder at a point in their lives. Depression is the most common form of mental illness. The disorder is often characterized by loss of pleasure in normal activities, appetite, weight disturbance, sleep disturbances, fatigue or loss of energy, and death.
